Album of Photographs of members to download

Like the photograph album of members from the 1940’s and 1950’s. Now available to members and all who visit this website, is an album of photographs to download and print off of members from the clubs recent past. The photographs were taken at Hereford, and Ironbridge Regattas and a summer ball held at the clubs premises. However, I have no date as to when the photographs were taken and who those, pictured in the photographs are. If anyone could help me with providing names to the faces I would be most appreciated. My email address is p.swift7@ntlworld.com

In the New Year, instead of publishing a collection of photographs in the clubs newsletter, I will publish on this website, for visitors to this website and members to download, an album of photographs reviewing the year 2007.

"The Story So Far"

Anyone with any interest in the Nottingham and Union Rowing Club's history will find this booklet very interesting.  The booklet charts the history of the Nottingham Rowing Club from 1862 to 1899, the rowing club which predated the original Nottingham Union Rowing Club by 9 years.

The Story so Far, comes included with excerpts from the clubs minutes of meetings and a petition for a Royal Charter, dated 20th June 1902.  Also contained are two separate newspaper reports from 1904 that were published in the Nottingham Evening News on the 5th of April and the 3rd of June.  Finally, the booklet comes with a collection of old black-and-white photograph’s of members of the Nottingham and Union Rowing Club taking mostly in the late 1940s to early 1950s.

If anyone is interested in obtaining a copy of "The Story So Far" please e-mail me with your details on p.swift7@ntlworld.com
